When should you hire executive protection? | TB Defense
You should consider executive protection when a credible threat, a rising public profile, or a specific high-risk event puts you or your family at more risk than your routine can absorb. The common mistake is waiting until something happens first. By then, the easiest and most effective options are already behind you.
Signs it is time
In my experience, the situations that call for protection share a few markers:
- A direct threat or a fixation. A stalker, a disgruntled former employee, an ex with a pattern, or anyone who has crossed from anger into focus on you specifically.
- A public profile that draws attention. A new role, a media moment, a lawsuit, or a controversy that puts your name and face in front of strangers.
- A high-profile or high-tension event. A public appearance, a contentious termination, a shareholder meeting, or a gathering where you are the center of attention.
- Known wealth. Significant assets that are publicly associated with you or your family.
- Travel into the unfamiliar. Movement through environments where you do not know the risks and cannot read the room.
You do not need a permanent detail to start
Protection is not all or nothing. Many clients begin with coverage for a single event, a defined trip, or a specific threat, paired with an assessment that tells them whether anything more is warranted. Starting small and starting early beats scrambling later.
If you are not sure
If you cannot tell whether your situation rises to the level of protection, that uncertainty is itself a reason to ask. A short conversation or a risk assessment will give you a clear, honest answer, with no pressure to hire a detail you do not need.
Get protected and we will tell you plainly what your situation calls for.
